Thermography & Breast Health: Something To Consider
After reading an article by Dr. Christiane Northrup, “The Best Breast Test: The Promise of Thermography” I think it’s important for women, and the men who love them, to know about an additional option for breast health awareness called “thermography.”
Listen to Kitty talk about why you should consider making thermography a part of your breast health awareness program.
Thermography From an Oriental Medicine Point of View
From an Oriental Medicine point of view I know that excess heat in the body can be a precursor to more serious health issues. And if you can detect excess heat in the body when it’s just that — heat — there are all sorts of preventive measures to take to mitigate potential health problems.
What Is Thermography
Thermography is a form of infrared imaging using cameras that “read” the entire infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum and produce images. It does this without radiation or contact with the body.
In an Oriental Medicine treatment I’m always checking for places in the body where excess heat builds up, and where I find it I work to release or dissipate it.
So from an Oriental Medicine point of view using thermography for testing purposes makes a lot of sense.
Release the Heat and Avoid the Problem
Any heat that gets built up and stagnates in the breast, or other areas of the body, could be the precursor to more significant health problems.
So if you integrate a medical thermograph into your breast health awareness program then you will know if heat build-up is indicating a potential health problem. And by knowing this you’ll be able to address it long before it has an opportunity to become a serious issue.
A thermogram doesn’t hurt. And it’s very safe — it’s even safe for pregnant and nursing women! It’s merely an image of the heat of your body.” — Dr Northrup
So I encourage you to read the article and then do some research to find out what you can about medical thermography and other preventive options available to you.
