Oriental Medicine: A Common Sense Approach to Health
It’s always better and easier to correct imbalances in your health, through small incremental changes, before they become a problem.
Oriental medicine is a common sense approach to health and wellbeing. And even though people today live in very different ways from one another, to the point where hardly anyone speaks of “common sense” anymore, the “common sense” is as available today as it ever was.
Sensing what’s happening with your health makes you aware of your body’s energy, what ancient Chinese doctors called “Chi.”
For example, when asked, “How are you?” - a very common way we say hello to each other these days - if you actually take a moment to check, it’s this pausing and pointing your awareness inward that let’s you know how you are. This is the ‘common sense’ that Oriental medicine asks you to engage with to better understand what your health situation is at any given time, and to know what you need to do to improve and maintain your health.
