Your Awareness Into Your Body ...
Take your hands off the keyboard ... let them rest comfortably in your lap
or hang loosely at your sides ... sit up straight in your chair ... feel
your spine lengthen ... and slowly and gently twist your upper body from
side to side ... three, four, five times ...
Become
Aware of Your Breath ...
Breathe slowly and deeply ... three, four, five times ...feel how your
breath comes in and out of your body ... notice if your chest is rising up
and down ... or is your belly expanding as you inhale ... and
contracting as you exhale ... Begin to breathe from your abdomen ... With
your attention an inch or two below your navel ... your stomach filling
like a balloon as you inhale, and deflating as you exhale ... take three,
four, five, slow, deep breaths ... counting each breath ... one ... as
you inhale ... then exhale ... and again ... two ... as you inhale ...
then exhale ...

Hands Like Clouds
On your next inhalation ... slowly and gently raise your hands to chest
level ... turn your palms facing upward ... imagine that upon each palm
rests a beautiful, white, weightless cloud ... feel this pure white cloud
... sitting on each of your palms ... Sit up straight in your chair ...
feel your spine lengthen ... While holding the clouds, slowly and gently
twist your upper body from side to side ... three, four, or five times
... imagine that you gently drifting back and forth across the sky,
like peaceful clouds on a gorgeous summer day ... And when you're ready
... Let the clouds float away ... let your hands slowly drift down ...
onto your lap ... and ...

again ... .. become aware of your entire body ... feel its
sensation ... the subtle feeling of calm that is pulsating ... in your
body ...
