Coaching at BIOM

How many times have you let the momentum of your familiar habits, attitudes, and routines carry you past the road leading toward new possibilities and opportunities? Coaching at BIOM assists you to make sure that “the road less traveled” doesn’t turn out to be “the road not traveled.”

Coaching at BIOM gives you the opportunity to confidentially explore and discuss a variety of possibilities, and identify which ones lead toward the solution you’re looking for—while mapping-out practical ways for getting there.

We draw on the principles, practices, and wisdom of the meditative martial arts to help you see yourself, and the environments you operate in, in new ways: ways that enable you to center, balance, and blend with the challenges you face, and achieve your goals by going with what’s happening, rather than resisting and trying to force your will on a situation.

What is Tai Chi Chuan

Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese exercise system that weaves together a series of slow, relaxed movements, and stimulates an experience of alertness, stillness, and possibility.

This vibrant, meditative martial art shows you how to think and act strategically, calm yourself when you’re feeling stressed, and rejuvenates the body and mind so that you’re healthy and fit to meet the challenges that meet you.

A Moving Meditation
Tai Chi helps you to relax—your muscles, your internal organs, and the constant chatter in your mind. The nerves gradually become calm, as you cultivate your feeling of ease and tranquility. This awareness expands within you, and as you focus on it … and enjoy it … you gradually realize that when you’re doing Tai Chi, you’re moving in meditation. And over time—from time-to-time—you’re more-and-more able to bring the benefits of the powerful dance of Tai Chi to your work, relationships, and personal well-being.

Walking the Circle

Pa Kua Chuan—like Tai Chi Chuan and Aikido—is another expression of the meditative martial arts. Pa Kua uses spiraling energy to soothe, heal, and invigorate your body and mind. This method of the meditative martial arts is famous for its capacity to develop the ability to manage challenging situations coming from any and all directions.

Making The Right Moves
Pa Kua teaches you how to adapt to the circumstances of your life, and make the necessary changes required at any moment. The techniques and applications of Pa Kua are adaptable to your unique physical characteristics and mental disposition, so whoever you are—and however you are—there is a way for you to learn and benefit from the practice of Pa Kua.

As with each of the meditative martial arts—as you learn the principles and movements of Pa Kua, you’ll become very clear about your strengths and weaknesses, and how to leverage them in the various situations you encounter—at work, at school, at home, and on your way.
