Experiencing
Oriental Medicine
The Oriental Medicine experience you receive at BIOM is aimed
at alleviating
uncomfortable symptoms in the short term, while balancing your body's
energy in a way that leads to long-term health. Your treatment is
carefully chosen based on your situation.
Each time you come for
acupuncture, acupressure, or herbs, your
current level of health is evaluated and discussed
with you. This includes plenty of time for you to ask any questions
you may have.
After
carefully listening to you and performing a set of gentle diagnostic
tests, a recommended treatment is determined to address your immediate
health concerns and long-term needs.
Oriental
Medicine in Action
Each of us have "weak links" in our bodies that make us
vulnerable to disease or discomfort. For
example, if you tend to get colds when you're experiencing a time of
stress, this would indicate a likelihood of weak lungs. In this type of
situation, acupuncture, acupressure and Chinese herbs would be used to
strengthen the functioning of the lungs. Health-enhancing,
energy-balancing exercises, like Chi Kung and Tai Chi, which you can do
at home, may also be prescribed.
