Bring Your Awareness Into Your Body ...
Take your hands off the keyboard ... let them rest comfortably in your lap
or hang loosely at your sides ... sit up straight in your chair with your
feet on the floor ... relax your shoulders and neck ... feel
your spine lengthen then slowly and gently twist your upper body from
side to side ... three, four, or five times ...
Become Aware of Your Breath ...
Breathe slowly and deeply ... three, four, or five times ...feel how your
breath comes in and out of your body ... notice if your chest is rising up
and down ... or is your belly expanding as you inhale ... and
contracting as you exhale ... Begin to breathe from your abdomen ... With
your attention an inch or two below your navel ... your stomach filling
like a balloon as you inhale, and deflating as you exhale ... take three,
four, or five slow, deep breaths ... counting each breath ... one ... as
you inhale ... one as you exhale ... and again ... inhale ... two ...
exhale ... two ...
Touching The Sky ...
On your next inhalation ... slowly and gently raise your arms above your
head ... with your palms gently turned towards the sky ... stretching up
... And then exhale ... let your hands slowly float down to your lap or
your sides ... once again ... Raise your hands and arms above your head,
stretch up to the sky, as you inhale ... then exhale and let your hands
slowly and gently comes to rest on your lap or at your sides ...
Enjoy The Chi
Now ... still ... sitting comfortably upright in your chair ... becoming
aware of your breath again ... .. become aware of your entire
body ... feel its sensation ... the subtle feeling of calm that is
pulsating ... in your body ...
